Breaking: Trump Used AI to Scan U.S. Generals’ Faces for Loyalty — and to Root Out Whistleblowers
On the Jewish Day of Atonement, America Must Reckon With a President Who Never Repents
Today is Yom Kippur—the holiest day of the Jewish year. For the Jewish people, it is a sacred day of reflection, forgiveness, and repentance. It’s the day when we pause, look inward, and ask ourselves: Where have we fallen short? Who have we hurt? What can we do to repair what is broken?
This day has always carried weight for me. As a Jewish immigrant who came to this country seeking freedom and opportunity, I think about the sacrifices, the mistakes, and the chances for redemption. I’ve lived a life where I have seen power up close—seen how it corrupts, how it seduces, and how it destroys. I have also seen how forgiveness and truth can rebuild what lies in ruins.
But today, our country is facing a test that cannot be ignored. Donald Trump has weaponized fear, division, and hate. He thrives on vengeance, not forgiveness. He demands loyalty not to the Constitution, not to the people, but to himself. On this day of reflection, we must ask: how do we stand up for truth in an age where lies dominate the headlines? How do we demand accountability when so many seek to look away?
After breaking fast tonight, while preparing for dinner and catching up on the flood of missed calls and messages, I heard from sources I trust. And what I heard stopped me cold.
The reason Trump and Pete Hegseth gathered all those generals in one room was not just about a loyalty speech or a pep rally. I’m hearing that the Trump team used artificial intelligence and facial-recognition technology during those briefings to monitor the generals’ reactions in real time. Every eyebrow raise, every flicker of doubt, every moment of discomfort was scanned and analyzed by an algorithm designed to detect who would obey orders without question—and who might resist.
I’m also hearing from my sources that this isn’t limited to the generals. This same technology is being used as a tool inside Trump’s orbit — a quiet weapon of power, deployed by his loyalists to identify and weed out whistleblowers and anyone who isn’t completely obedient. This is how authoritarian power consolidates itself — by quietly monitoring every reaction, every hesitation, every private doubt, and turning it into a scorecard of allegiance.
This is the quiet introduction of a new loyalty test: not just pledging allegiance to Trump, but being scanned and scored by AI for obedience. It’s the kind of surveillance authoritarian regimes use to root out dissent before it begins. And now it’s being deployed against the highest levels of America’s own military leadership.
This isn’t just unprecedented—it’s terrifying. It is the fusion of authoritarian power with the tools of modern surveillance. And it’s happening here, in our country, under our eyes.
As I wrote to you last night in my letter, right before I turned off my electronics for Yom Kippur, I warned you that the government shutdown, the gathering of the generals, and the behind-the-scenes moves were all part of Project 2025. And today, you watched it play out in front of your eyes. Russell Vought — one of the chief architects of Project 2025 — came in to meet with Donald Trump to begin implementing that plan by firing and dismantling programs built to protect and help everyday Americans. I’m telling you this because the truth matters. Don’t just read this and move on — share it far and wide. People need to understand what’s unfolding right now, before it’s too late.
For us as Jews, Yom Kippur teaches that forgiveness does not mean forgetting. It means confronting the past honestly, owning our mistakes, and vowing not to repeat them.
I have made mistakes in my life, and I have asked for forgiveness. But Donald Trump has never once sought it. He does not repent. He does not reflect. And he is dragging America into darkness, where cruelty replaces compassion, and self-interest replaces service.
Let us make a vow as a nation: We will not forgive authoritarianism. We will not forget corruption. We will not allow one man to place himself above the law.
This is not about politics. This is about the soul of America.
I am asking you to subscribe and join me in my mission to save our democracy. Stand with me. Spread this truth. Support this movement of accountability and resistance. Because forgiveness is personal, but justice is collective.
This is one of the most important moments in our history. And I’m risking a lot to bring you this information that Donald Trump does not want exposed. And believe me, when he finds out, he will not be happy. But the truth matters.
That’s why I’m asking you—humbly but urgently—to stand with me. Share this message far and wide. Talk about it with your friends, your coworkers, your family. Do not let it get buried. And if you can, please become a paid subscriber. I don’t have billionaires or corporate sponsors. I only have you. And together, we are the only line of defense against a man who will stop at nothing to consolidate power.
This isn’t just a newsletter—it’s a movement. Together, we can shine a light in the darkness Trump is trying to impose. But I can’t do it without you.

This is bigger than politics. This is about whether our democracy survives. About whether truth still has a place in America. History will judge us by how we respond right now. And it will take all of us—loud, fearless, and united—to ensure that what Trump is building never takes root.
With hope, truth, and gratitude,

Lev, I just read an article by one of the generals - and THEY launched THEIR OWN digital message to be ALL the generals just as Trump was speaking. Simply: REMEMBER YOUR OATH. Their oath for every member of the military is to our CONSTITUTION. NOT to any commander. These generals are highly intelligent and KNOW what Trump is up to. And they know military history too - he wanted HIS generals to bow to him. That is NOT happaeninv here. KEEP THE FAITH!
Chilling. And the fact is, AI doesn't necessarily get it right. It makes huge mistakes sometimes. And for AI to correctly read 800 human faces as they react in real time?
But I agree, let us not let authoritarianism and corruption go unchecked. Let us win our democracy back and learn from this to be responsible and educated citizens who defend their rights and their country, for ourselves and for a better world.
