While the media chases headlines abroad, Trump is quietly executing his most dangerous agenda right here at home — stripping away our rights, one by one, with the help of a Supreme Court he handpicked to do exactly that.
And today, he succeeded.
In a 6–3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled to limit the power of federal courts to issue nationwide injunctions — the very legal tool that has protected vulnerable communities for decades. With this decision, Trump’s allies just removed one of the final legal firewalls standing between authoritarian policy and real human suffering.
Let me explain what that means. And why, for me, this is not theory or analysis. It’s something I know in my bones.
I was born in the Soviet Union — a place where speaking the truth could cost you your job, your home, even your freedom. My parents risked everything to escape that nightmare and bring me to America — not because it was perfect, but because it was free.
We believed in the promise of this country: that no matter where you came from, if you loved this nation and worked hard, it would protect you.
But that promise is being dismantled.
And today, the Court handed Trump and his architects — Stephen Miller and Russell Vought — exactly what they’ve been building toward: the ability to arrest, detain, and deport immigrant children, even those raised here since birth, with no nationwide court able to stop it.
This isn’t just a legal technicality. It’s the legal blueprint for mass deportation and racial cleansing by policy.
Here’s what this ruling unleashes:
The power to arrest and deport undocumented children who’ve lived here their entire lives

And I want to tell you something from the heart — not just as an immigrant, not just as a father of seven American born children, but as a proud American citizen who loves this country with everything I have.
I want you to imagine what it feels like knowing that children — kids who were raised here, who speak no other language, who pledge allegiance to this flag, who’ve never known any other home — could one day be rounded up, taken from their schools or homes, and deported to a country they’ve never been to. A place they don’t understand. A language they don’t speak. A future that doesn’t include the only country they’ve ever called theirs.

And this moment right here — this Supreme Court ruling — must be the red line.
We have to draw the line in the sand.
