Lev, Michael and Malcolm.

Please consider some feedback about your program. I did subscribe to hear the unreported news. I do believe that you guys know what's happening behind the scenes.

However, many times it sounds like 3 guys on a barstool analysing the latest screw up on a military mission. Maybe it's just me.....but I am not a "BRO" and I prefer to hear the latest insider news so that we can be better informed. Many more women would support you, but you guys start sounding like the locker room. Do consider this as constructive feedback because I want you guys to grow your substack. It might be one reason your numbers aren't exploding, Many of us have subscription fatigue. Please make it worth our time and attention.

It was so funny though to see him rubbing his face — like we all do— to wake up! He’s a true patriot and his passion and intelligence are great. We are so lucky to have him fighting for all of us.

Under the Trump administration, the Department of Energy has hired three scientists well known for their contrarianism about anthropogenic climate change, the NYT reports:

physicist Steven E. Koonin

atmospheric scientist John Christy

meteorologist Roy Spencer

Spencer believes in the pseudoscience of intelligent design which was criticized by Phil Plait, in Slate as advocating "warmed-over creationism".[34] Spencer's views on the matter were used as an example in an exploration by the Christian Science Monitor as a possible connection between climate change denial and creationism.[35]

Dear ones, you will so agree with this

From:

The Science of Revenge: Understanding the World's Deadliest Addiction—and How to Overcome It, May 27, 2025, by James Kimmel Jr. JD

overleaf: “And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?” Wm. Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice.

Dedicated “To the perpetrators, for they were once the victims.”

Introduction, xiv: “It turns out that your brain on revenge looks like your brain on drugs.”

REVENGE ADDICTION IN THE WHITE HOUSE, P. 149-153

The renowned Yale and Harvard-trained psychiatrist Bandy Lee , MD, author of a textbook on violence, collaborated with thirty-six other psychiatrists and mental health experts to write the best-selling book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, arguing that Trump presents a clear and present danger to the nation and individual well-being. Dr. Lee agrees with my theory of revenge addiction and its applicability to Trump.

I think your substance addiction model [of revenge] is incredibly important because whether the addictive substance is a chemical, or whether it is an action . . . . is almost immaterial. The seeking of that gratification of that psychological need and physical need and physiological need will be seen in both as you have discovered. And that’s a remarkably important discovery that explains a lot and illumines pathways we could use to confront this issue.

I asked Dr. Lee if she sees evidence of Trump as a revenge addict—compulsive, constantly wanting to retaliate for his grievances despite the negative consequences. Her response: “Oh, yes. Absolutely.” She went on to explain:

In the book I edited, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, in 2017, what we were most afraid of was Donald Trump as a public health threat because, well, the psychological dangers he brought were not unusual. In fact, I’ve probably treated at least probably about a thousand individuals with his psychological structure through my work over the last quarter century of specializing in treating violent offenders. And so, yes, he fits the profile entirely. The only difference with him that he would become a large public health threat is because of the position that was granted him and the influence and exposure that he would have to the public, and therefore [he] would spread his violence proneness, his grievances, his paranoid ideas, as well as his fixed false beliefs . . . . And pathological symptoms are far more contagious than rational ideas or persuasion . . . . So, do I see him as a griever? Yes, very much so. I’ve actually called it more of a victim complex, but yes. (p. 149-150)

Chapter 9, This is Your Brain on Forgiveness, p. 183

The central question in this book has been why we want to hurt people who hurt us . . . . Is there a way to reduce or eliminate the pain of remembered grievances, and thereby reduce or eliminate the desire for revenge, rather than trying to cover it up? Wouldn’t that be a less risky, more satisfying, more permanent fix?

Recent advances in neuroscience reveal that this is the role of forgiveness inside our brains—to reduce or eliminate revenge desires and to restore control over retaliatory urges that lead to negative consequences. In this sense, forgiveness appears to a potent antidote for revenge addiction. To understand this, we’re going to take a close look at neuroscience of forgiveness.

Conclusion:

Kimmel said forgiving others “seventy times seven”—certainly impossible for MAGA fiends--was not “pious instruction for becoming a saint or a naïve suicide pact. It was a practical , scientifically sound, lifesaving advice for preventing violence, restoring peace, and overcoming revenge addiction.” (p. 245)

Bonus excerpt: Words from Mary Trump’s Too Much and Never Enough:

The atmosphere of division my grandfather created in the Trump family is the water in which Donald has always swum, and division continues to benefit him at the expense of everybody else. It’s wearing the country down, just as it did my father, changing us even as it leaves Donald unaltered. It’s weakening our ability to be kind or believe in forgiveness, concepts that have never had any meaning for him. His administration and his party have been subsumed by his politics of grievance and entitlement. (Prologue, p. 15)

Below from Shakespeare, same play. Trump and MAGA Project 2025 parading as Christians have missed it all.

The quality of mercy is not strained;

It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven

Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest;

It blesseth him that gives and him that takes:

'T is mightiest in the mightiest; it becomes

The throned monarch better than his crown:

His sceptre shows the force of temporal power,

The attribute to awe and majesty,

Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings;

But mercy is above this sceptred sway;

It is enthronèd in the hearts of kings,

It is an attribute to God himself;

And earthly power doth then show likest God's

When mercy seasons justice. Therefore,

(all of us)

Though justice be thy plea, consider this,

That, in the course of justice, none of us

Should see salvation: we do pray for mercy;

And that same prayer doth teach us all to render

The deeds of mercy.
